Installation and Commissioning
1. While unpacking, check the housing for mechanical damage. Please immediately report any damage to your local
METTLER TOLEDO representative.
2. Isolate the pipe / tank / vessel etc. from the housing (depressurize, empty, rinse, purge and vent, etc.) before starting
any installation work.
3. Fit the housing to flange / NPT thread of process connection.
4. Fit the electrode / sensor to the housing and connect the electrode / sensor and the transmitter with corresponding cable.
Note: Perform step #4 followed by #3 for InFit 762 / 763 housing.

5. Adjust compensation pressure: The compensation pressure may be adjusted at the valve insert of the pressure gauge
using the supplied air pump, or by connecting a permanent, oil-free and filtered pressure supply (for housing InFit 763
or InFit 764 only).
Refer to respective housing instruction manual for detail description.

Operation: Inspection Work
1. Visually check fastenings (ring nut, flange, NPT thread) of the housing at the process connection for firm sealing
and leaks.
2. If necessary, check the condition of the electrode / sensor (refer to sensor instruction manual for cleaning and
calibration procedures).
3. Calibrate / clean the electrode / sensor if necessary (refer to sensor and transmitter instruction manuals).
