The Conergy SmartControl is supplied with power by the
power supply unit provided.
The Conergy SmartControl transfers the system data via an
Internet connection to the system monitoring portal.
In order to calculate the setpoint value for energy generation
for the system, the ET sensor provides the Conergy
SmartControl with the irradiation and temperature data. In
calculating the setpoint value for energy generation, the
Conergy SmartControl also takes into account the maximum
output of the solar modules.
The actual value of energy generation for the system is
obtained by the Conergy SmartControl from the connected
central inverter of the Conergy IPG series inverters. The
Conergy SmartControl carries out a setpoint/actual
comparison and determines the efficiency of the system. It
prepares this data and transmits it to the system monitoring
portal.
The Conergy SmartControl saves the data from the ET sensor
and from the Conergy IPG series central inverter. The storage
duration for a PV system with an inverter is more than one
year.
The connection between the Conergy SmartControl and the
system monitoring portal is via an Internet connection (for
requirements of the Internet connection see Chapter 8.1,
page 75). If it is temporarily impossible to establish an
Internet connection, the Conergy SmartControl automatically
tries again after a delay. This is repeated until a connection is
established. A Conergy SmartControl monitoring unit
transfers the data from all connected system components.
During the data transfer to the monitoring portal, the
Transfer LED is on.
The Conergy SmartControl detects if a fault is present in a
connected system component, or if the setpoint/actual ratio
for energy generation in the system drops. In such cases, the
monitoring unit sends a warning to the portal. The Alarm and
Transfer LEDs are lit up during this procedure.
