The fact that the towing bracket has been mounted to the vehicle must be entered in the
vehicle papers at the next possible opportunity. The mounting instructions must be added to
the vehicle papers.
General Installation Intructions:
If present, remove insulating compound and/or underseal in the area of the towing bracket
contact surfaces. Coat bare bodywork with anti-corrosion paint.
Mount 7-pin electrical system as per DINV 72570.
Mount 13-pin electrical system as per ISO 11446.
Retighten all mounting bolts of the towing bracket after aprox. 1000 towing km. Please note,
that after mounting the drawbar the mass of your vehicle will change.
Mounting instructions:
Dismantle the rear bumper and let down the exhaust manifold.

Carve the plastic insulation layer from the concave hollow above the chassis beam on the
–
right and left side of the trunk.
Place the accessory plates 2 into the trunk, so that the factory made holes are matching to
–
the hole „a" on the accessory plate. Mark the place of hole „b" and „c" on the plate of
the trunk, then contour the accessory plates.
Remove the insulating paint from the bed-sore surface of the accessory plate 2.

Drill the chassis beam at points „a", „b" and „c" with bit ∅11 mm, then enlarge the upper
–
holes with bit ∅18 mm. Fix the side-plates (3 and 4) and the accessory plates loosely to
the car at points „a", „b" and „c" with the enclosed fixing elements according to the
drawing.
Fix the body of the drawhook (1) loosely in between the side-plates at points „d" with the
–
enclosed fixing elements according to the drawing.
Set the drawhok into the centre, then finalise the tightening of all the bolts.
–
Make cutting on the bumper according to the enclosed punching template.
–
Warning! Do not cut the bumper if the car is manufactured after 06/2002.
–
By means of opening the rear cable bundle, complete the electrical connections according
–
to the regulations.
Hang back the exhaust manifold and reinstall the bumper.

Only specialised services are authorised to install drawhooks.
