Cabinet Requirements
The minimum spaces that must be maintained when
installing the electric grill shall be:

Stainless steel work surfaces: both work
surfaces must be permanently fitted on
both sides of the grill to protect the
countertop when the grill is installed
separately.
When installed next to another Vario
appliance, a work surface must be fitted
on the opposite side to protect the
countertop.
When installed between two other Vario
appliances, no work surface is required.
The distance from the top of the cooktop to the bottom of
cabinets above can be reduced to 24 inch when the
bottom of the wood or metal cabinet is protected by not
less than ¼ inch (6.35 mm)-thick flame-retardant
millboard covered with not less than No. 28 MSG sheet
metal, 0.015 inch (0.4 mm) stainless steel, 0.024 inch
(0.6 mm) aluminum or copper.
