2 Safety Notes

The units (microphone, active speaker,
plug-in charger) correspond to all required
directives of the EU and are therefore
marked with
WARNING The plug-in charger uses
Please observe the following items in any
case:

Only use the plug-in charger to recharge
nickel metal hydrate batteries (NiMH).
Dry batteries are not rechargeable; if you
try to recharge them, they may leak or
even explode!

The units are suitable for indoor use only.
Protect them against dripping water and
splash water, high air humidity and heat
(admissible ambient temperature range
0 – 40 °C).

3. if malfunctions occur.
In any case the units must be repaired by
skilled personnel.

For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth;
never use water or chemicals.

No guarantee claims for the units and no
liability for any resulting personal damage
or material damage will be accepted if the
units are used for other purposes than
originally intended, if they are not cor-
rectly connected or operated, or if they
are not repaired in an expert way.
If the units are to be put out of
operation definitively, take them to
a local recycling plant for a dis-
posal which will not be harmful to
the environment.
Used batteries or defective rechargeable
batteries must not be placed in the house-
hold waste; always take them to a special
waste disposal, e. g. collection container
at your retailer.
3 Applications
The WAP-5 is specially designed to amplify
the voice picked up by the microphone. The
practical belt strap allows to wear the ampli-
fier around your waist and ensures com-
plete freedom of movement. Thus, the unit
is ideally suited for lectures, training ses-
sions, sports training, etc.
To reproduce music, it will be possible to
connect an audio player (e. g. MP3 player
or CD player).
