ATTENTION!!
- The energy absorber with the lanyard can be equipped only with certified snap hooks
(according to EN 362). In order to avoid any accidental opening of the snap hooks, always
check that the gate is protected with the locking gear.
- The fall arrest system must be connected to the structural anchor point complying with
EN 795 standard or to a structural fixed point situated above the job place with a min. static
resistance of 12 kN. The shape of the structural anchor point should not let self-acting
disconnection of the device.
- The user should minimise the amount of slack in the lanyard near a fall hazard.
- The user should avoid interleaving the lanyard between construction elements or the
situation when there is a risk of falling over the sharp edge.
- In determining the space under the workplace required to arrest the fall, consider the length
of lanyard as an additional element that extends the distance for arresting a fall.
- The total length of the absorber with lanyard and connectors and fasteners shall not exceed 2 m.
- The energy absorber with lanyard can be used in temperatures from -47°C to 50°C.
- Two separate lanyards each with an energy absorber should not be used side by side (i.e. parallel).
- The free lanyard of a double (twin tail) lanyard combined with energy absorber should not be clipped back on the harness.
REQUIRED FREE DISTANCE BELOW WORKING SURFACE, WHEN WORKER IS PROTECTED WITH AN ENERGY
ABSORBER WITH LANYARD:
Drawings no.1, 2 and 3 show free distance below working surface depending on location of Structural Anchor Point, to which
energy absorber with lanyard is connected.

NOTES
Before using a fall arrest system, of which the energy absorber with lanyard is a component, you have to check that all devices
are correctly connected. They can work without any trouble and they are certified with the obligatory standards:
- EN 353-1, EN 353-2, EN 354, EN 355, EN 360, EN361, EN 362: for fall arrest system.
- EN 795: for anchor devices.
- EN 341: for descender devices.
USE
During use, the device should be protected from a contact with oils, acids, solvents, basics, open fire, hot metal drops and
sharp edges. You should avoid using the device in the dust laden and greasy environment.
WITHDRAWN FROM USE
The PPE must be withdrawn from use immediately when any doubt arises about its good condition or its right functioning.
Then it must be sent to the device manufacturer or to his certified representative to carry out a detailed inspection and to value
its eventual repair or destruction. If the PPE has been used to arrest a fall, it must be destroyed immediately.
PERIODIC REVIEWS
After each 12 months of utilization the PPE must be withdrawn from use for carrying out the periodic review.
During this inspection will be established admissible time for the PPE use till next periodic review. After this period, it is
strictly forbidden to use the PPE without carrying out next periodic review. All the information concerning the periodic review
must be recorded in the Identity Card. The periodic reviews and the updating of the Identity Card can be carried out by the
manufacturer or by his authorized representative only.
