In Parameter Selection Internal mode, with the syner-
gy activated (L12 lit), it visualizes the acronyms of the
Materials to weld (L13), the welding Positions (L14), the
Thickness (L15) and electrode Diameter (L16).
In some cases it indicates part of a message completed by D1:
− in the event of Power Source error message it visualizes
the error number. On D1 appears the acronym "Err";
− in the "Service Functions" menu (par. 9), "Second
Functions" menu (par. 10) and "Technical Menu" (par.
10.14) visualizes the possible choices in answer to the
function indicated on D1.
If the operating mode selection does not match an existing
Operating Mode displays "- - -".
7.3

Key T1 - Welding process.

Operative in Parameter Selection Internal mode.
Each time the key is pressed selects a different
welding process, indicated by the lighting of the
corresponding led.
Led L1 TIG-DC process.
Led L2 MMA-DC process.
Led L38 TIG-AC process.
Led L39 MMA-AC process.
Within the "Second Functions" menu, pressed simultane-
ously at T8 performs the access or the exit from the "Tech-
nical Menu".
7.4

Key T2 - Command program.

Not operative.
The operation in automated systems provides
only the way "2-stages".
Led L3 Spot (off).
Led L4 2-stages (lit).
Led L5 4-stages (off).
Led L6 3 levels TIG program (off).
Led L7 2 levels and 4 stages TIG program
(off).
7.5

Key T3 - Working mode.

Operative in Parameter Selection Internal mode.
NOTE
With the Robot function enabled (rob On) the "high fre-
quency" arc striking is only available; the contact arc strik-
ing is disabled, therefore the L8 and L9 leds selection is
locked with L9 lit.
3300036-C
Led L8 TIG welding with arc ignition by con-
tact (crawls) (not available).
Led L9 TIG welding with arc ignition by high
voltage/frequency (lit).
Pressing T3 for a time shorter than 2 s alternately selects
the led L10 or L11.
Led L10 TIG-Continuous welding.
Led L11 TIG-Pulsed welding.
The pulse frequency is adjustable 0.1 ÷ 2,500 Hz
(led L27), peak current and base current can be activated
via leds L28 and L29 respectively and are adjustable using
M1.
With pulse frequency 0.1 ÷ 1.1 Hz, D1 alternatively shows
peak current (main) and base current; leds L28 and L29
are alternatively on.
With pulse frequency over 1.1 Hz, D1 shows the mean
value between these two currents.
7.6

Key T4 - Synergy.

Operative in Parameter Selection Internal mode
and TIG-Continuous welding.
The short pressure (<2 s) of this key enables the
"Synergy" (L12 lit) and allows the selection of Material
(L13), welding Position (L14), Thickness (L15) and elec-
trode Diameter (L16), whose acronyms are displayed on D2.
The selection of the acronyms visualized on D2 is carried
out with M1.
7.6.1
Led L12 - Synergy.
When lit indicates the "Synergy" is active.
The purpose of "Synergy" is to give the operator
a quick guidance to TIG welding parameters setting.
L12 lights together to one of leds L13, L14, L15 or L16
in order to indicate the parameter, visualized on D2, that is
possible to adjust with M1.
7.6.2
Led L13 - Material.
The material types visualized on D2 and selecta-
ble with M1 are: Stainless Steel (SS), Copper
(Cu), Iron (FE) and Titanium (ti).
Once the desired material have been selected with M1, by
pressing T4 (<2 s) will accept the selection and move to
the next parameter (L14).
7.6.3
Led L14 - Welding position.
The abbreviation that appears on D2 meets
ISO6947 standards and corresponds to the weld-
ing positions listed in the figure.
