Only use suitable and sufficiently dimensioned attachment points and do not reach underneath any lashing elements.
The maximum working load limit (load) of a chain sling depends on the chain dimension (d), number of chain
legs, angle of inclination (ß) and attachment method. The working load limit can be taken from the stamping
of the WLL identification tag and corresponding working load limit tables. It applies solely for the intended use.

2. Intended use

Attachment device must be used exclusively by
competent persons or by qualified persons.
• The attachment device must be examined (within
12 months) exclusively by a competent person.
• Chain slings may only be used for slinging and lifting
loads in accordance with European and national
standards and guidelines.
• Chain slings are used as a connection from the load
to the load lifting attachments.
• Any other use of the chain slings apart from those
described here is prohibited!
• Lifting of persons is prohibited. The lifting of
potentially hazardous materials (e. g. molten metal and
acids, glass plates, fissile materials, parts of nuclear
reactors) or components that must be lifted by the
manufacturer using certain specified attachment
devices is prohibited.
• Any change or modification of the chain sling is
prohibited!
• HIT chain slings are only approved for commercial
