TROUBLESHOOTING
Q: Why won't my unit power on?
A: Ensure that it is seated properly on the base and base is plugged in. When seated prop-
erly, the kettle should sit flush on top of the base.
Q: Why does it take so long for water to boil?
A: This depends on the amount of water inside, and the temperature of that water. (Large
amounts of cold water taking the longest to heat up.) It has a powerful heating element
and should boil relatively quickly. If your unit has been working fine but only developed
this problem recently, it could be due to calcium carbonate build-up. See the "Mainte-
nance" section on previous page to alleviate.
