How to use:
1. Press ON/OFF button to activate. The item would beep and the
LCD display test will go on for around 2 seconds.
2. The temperature taken last time would be displayed with "M" at
the right bottom corner.
3. When "L" and flashing °C (°F) displays, the thermometer is
ready for temperature measurement. However, if the room
temperature is higher than 32.0°C (89.6°F), the room
temperature would be displayed instead of "L".
4. The beep will sound when the temperature measurement
completes.
5. Press ON/OFF button to turn off.
Taking an oral temperature:
Place the probe tip under the tongue as near as possible to the
heat pocket.
Approximate measurement time: 1 minute
Taking an axillary temperature (under the arm):
Wipe the underarm with a dry towel and place the probe tip under
the arm so the tip is touching the skin. Put the arm across the
chest so the probe tip is well covered by the arm.
Approximate measurement time: 2-3 minutes
Taking a rectal temperature:
Apply a water-soluble lubricant to the probe tip. Gently insert the
probe (maximum 0.5") into the rectum.
Approximate measurement time: 1 minute
Battery replacement:
1. The battery needs to be replaced when
bottom corner of the display.
2. Remove the battery cover.
3. Pull out the battery compartment about 17mm.
4. Take out the old battery and install the new battery.
5. Push back the battery compartment and close with battery
cover.
