20. Before carrying the child car seat by hand,
ensure that your child is fastened with the
restraint harness and that the handle is cor-
rectly locked in the vertical position.
21. To transport your child in a child car seat fi t-
ted to a stroller, only use this child car seat
with Chicco strollers specifi cally designed for
this purpose.
22. Before transporting your child in the child
car seat fi tted to the stroller, ensure that it
is locked safely.
23. Do not use second-hand child car seats: they
may have suffered structural damage not vis-
ible to the naked eye, which could compro-
mise the safety of the product.
24. ARTSANA declines all responsibility for the
incorrect use of this product.
25. The seat's fabric cover must only be re-
placed with a replacement approved by the
manufacturer, as it constitutes an integral
part of the child restraint device. The child
car seat must never be used without the
seat's fabric cover.
26. Check that the belt is not twisted. Ensure
that no part of the child car seat or har-
ness is trapped in the car door or is rubbing
against sharp objects. Should the belt be
cut or frayed it must be replaced.
27. Loose, heavy or sharp objects should not
be transported in the car, especially on the
rear shelf. Loose objects are liable to cause
injury in the event of sharp breaking, sud-
den movement or an accident.
28. Always ensure that all passengers in the car
wear safety belts for their own safety and
because they could seriously injure your
child in the event of an accident.
29. 0n long journeys make frequent stops.
Children tire easily. Never take your child
out of the child car seat whilst the car is
moving for any reason. If your child needs
attention, fi nd a safe place to stop and pull
over.
30. Premature newborn babies, born after 37
weeks, could be at risk if placed in the child
car seat. They may suffer respiratory prob-
lems when seated in the child car seat. We
recommend that you seek the advice of
your Doctor or qualifi ed Hospital Person-
nel, in order to evaluate your child's needs
and recommend the appropriate child car
seat or car carrycot for your child before
leaving hospital.
31. Ensure that all the passengers of the vehicle
know how to release the child from the
child car seat in case of emergency

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS
The child car seat (i.e. in the child car seat only
and child car seat with base version) is approved
for Group 0+, for children from birth up to 13 Kg.
The child car seat has been classifi ed as
"Universal" and, therefore, it can be used with
any kind of car model.
WARNING! "Universal" means that the child car
seat can be fi tted on most, but not all, car seats.
IMPORTANT WARNING
1. This is a "Universal" child restraint. It is
approved to Regulation No. 44.03 series of
amendments, for general use in vehicles,
and it will fi t most, but not all car seats.
2. A correct fi t is likely if the vehicle
manufacturer has declared that the vehicle
is capable of accepting a "Universal" child
restraint for this age group.
3. This child restraint has been classifi ed as
"Universal" under more stringent conditions
than those that have been applied to earlier
designs that do not carry this notice.
4. Only suitable if the vehicle is fi tted with
a 3 point static or 3 point retractor safety
belts approved to UN/ECE Regulation No.
16 or other equivalent standard.
5. If in doubt, consult either the child
restraint manufacturer or the retailer.
The child car seat can also be used out of the car,
fi tted to the stroller or as a rocker or baby chair.
USE RESTRICTIONS
WARNING! Read these use restrictions carefully
to ensure the safe use of the product.
1. The child must not weigh more than 13 Kg.
2. Never use this child car seat on a front seat
equipped with frontal airbag, but only if the
frontal airbag has been de-activated: check with
the car manufacturer or in your car instruction
manual whether the airbag can be de-activated.
3. Never use the comfort cushion if your child
weighs more than 6 kg.
NECESSARY REQUISITES OF THE CAR'S
SAFETY BELT AND SEAT
The child car seat may be fi tted to the front
passenger seat or any rear seat, but in compliance
with the following restrictions. The seat must:
Be fi tted in a front-facing position (diag. 1)
Be fi tted with a 3 point static or 3 point retractor
safety belts (diag. 2)
It is recommended to always fi t the child car seat
in the rear seat of the car.
WARNING! SERIOUS DANGER! Never use this
child car seat on a front seat equipped with
frontal airbag.
