1.2. Power Cord and Other Cables
Do not roll up or pull the cord to disconnect the appliance, and do not use it to twine
the appliance. Keep the cord away from warm surfaces.
Never use the appliance if it has a damaged cable or socket, or if it is not working
properly.
If the power cord is damaged, do not use your appliance. Take it to technical assistance
for replacement.
This appliance has a polarized plug. To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is
intended to fit into a polarized outlet in only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into
the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not
attempt to modify the plug in any way.
A short power-supply cord (or detached power-supply cord) is provided to reduce
risks resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a long cord.
Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be
used if care is exercised in their use.
If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used, the marked electrical
rating of the detachable power-supply cord or extension cord should be at least as
high as the appliance's electrical rating.
The longer cord should be arranged so that it does not hang over the counter top or
table top where it can be pulled by children or tripped over.
1.3. Humidity and Water
Do not use your appliance in humid places. Do not allow the appliance to become
wet under any circumstances as this may be dangerous. TO AVOID FIRE HAZARD OR
ELECTRIC SHOCK DO NOT EXPOSE YOUR APPLIANCE TO HUMIDITY OR WATER. Do
not place your appliance under water (for example to wash it).
1.4. Cleaning
Before cleaning, be sure to switch off the appliance and let it cool down completely.
To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse the cord, plug or appliance in
water or liquid.
Clean all detachable parts after each use in hot soapy water.
Wipe the external surface of the product with a soft, damp cloth to remove stains.
Do not attempt to clean the inside of the water tank, as this will leave a residue of lint
and may clog your coffee maker, simply rinse with cold water periodically.
Water droplets may build up in the area above the funnel and drip onto the product
base during brewing. To control the dripping, wipe off the area with a clean, dry cloth
after each use of the product.

product and enjoy its advanced features. Please keep the instructions for future
reference.
• Read all instructions before using the product.
• Maintenance and service operations are only to be carried out by authorized
dealers.
• Any damage caused by manual modifications to the product is not covered by
the warranty.
• If this product is used for other purposes than originally designed, or if it is not
correctly connected, the product may suffer damage and the warranty will be
voided.
