Our vast programme of spreader beams comprises a
large variety of models for the most different kinds of
transport.

For you it is extremely important to use the spreader

beam you chose according to the directions mentioned
in this booklet. The following hints are to help you
prevent possible dangers of accident. Be sure to keep

the operating instructions for the future use!

The spreader beams manufactured correspond to
the prescriptions and regulations (EN 13155) valid at
the time of delivery. The quality test executed before

delivery is to be regarded as expert inspection and
is executed according to ISO 9001:2008.

2.1 The following operating manual describes the

spreader beams listed therein as well as their opera-
tion. Should there be any unanswered questions,

2.2 These operating instructions use the internationally

standardised SI units of measure.
2.3 It is essential that the operating manual is read and

fully understood by the user before the initial use of the
Spreader Beam. The owner must ensure that all users

have read and understood the operating instructions.

2.4 The operating manual is designed for sufficiently

trained and qualified personnel to carry out correct
operation, maintenance and repair of the spreader
beams. Therefore it is imperative that only sufficiently

qualified personnel operate, maintain and repair the
spreader beams (see „5. User Groups"). Pfeifer Seil-
Page 19
und Hebetechnik GmbH will not accept any liability for
maintenance and repair work that has been carried out
incorrectly.
2.5 The spreader beam may only be used for opera-
tion and/or transport of corresponding loads (see "4.
Authorised Intended Use") with appropriate attachment
devices (chain slings, round slings, etc.). All kinds
of dangers to the life and health of the user must be
avoided. Every other use is unauthorised and relieves
PFEIFER of any liability and guarantee obligation.
2.6 The operator of the spreader beam is obliged
to strictly adhere to and record all maintenance and
servicing schedules specified in this operating manual.
