8.4 Big-Bag Spreader Beam
Spreader beam with 4-point suspension for attachment
of big-bag loops directly over the hollow section.
General safety precautions
• The crane hook must be adjusted to the suspension
ring/eye. Please take an overview of the suitable
crane hooks according to DIN 15 401 from table 6.7.
Specific remarks for this model
8.4.1 The loops of the big bags are exclusively allowed
to be hung between the front plate and the round
material welded on the section.
When the attachment device is
placed directly on the spreader beam
after the round material, this can
lead to slipping and consequently
crash of the load.
DANGER
8.4.2 The big bags may only be lifted vertically and
must not be drawn.
When the big bags are drawn, the
loops can slip from the spreader
beam. This can lead to tilting of the
load.

8.4.3 Make sure that between the procedures setting
down and lifting the big bag, all the four loops are still
attached correctly (also see 8.1.1).
When the big-bag loops are not
reattached correctly after lifting the
spreader beam again, this can lead
to slipping and consequently crash
of the load.
DANGER
8.4.4 Note the lifting capacity of the big-bag spreader
beam!
An overloaded spreader beam
can lead to failure of the spreader
beam and crash of the load.
