TOOL USE AND CARE

Do not force the power tool. Use the correct
tool for the application. The correct tool will do
the job better and more safely at the rate that it
was designed to work at.
Do not use tools if switch does not turn it on or
off. Any tool that cannot be controlled with the
switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
Disconnect the plug from the power source be-
fore making any adjustments, changing acces-
sories or storing the tool. This preventive safety
measures reduce the risk of accidental starting
of the tool.
When the power tool is not in use, store it out
of the reach of children, and do not allow in-
dividuals who are not familiar with the power
tool or these instructions to operate it. Power
tools are dangerous in the hands on untrained
users.
Maintain the power tool. Check for misalign-
ment or binding of moving parts, broken parts,
and any other condition that may affect the
operation of the power tool. If it is damaged,
have it repaired before using. Many accidents
are caused by poorly maintained power tools.

a damaged tool, take it to service before use it.
Use only accessories that are recommended by

easier to control.

SERVICE
Tool service must be performed only by quali-
fied repair personnel. Service or maintenance
performed by unqualified personnel could re-
sult in a risk of injury.
SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES FOR
HEAT GUNS
Use your tool with care. There is a risk of fire if
you do not use the appliance correctly, take the
following precautions:
• Be careful not to use the appliance in places
where combustible materials exist.
• Do not use the heat gun in environments that
may be explosive.

• Place the appliance in its base (if it has one)
after it is used and allow it to cool before it is
stored.
• Do not leave the device unattended when it is
in operation.
• This unit reaches a maximum temperature of
600˚C; • Always use appropriate safety equip-
ment such as gloves and glasses.
• Allow the heat gun to cool before storing it
and never touch the nozzle.
• Never try to use the gun as a hair dryer.
• Never aim the gun at people, animals or cloth-
ing.
• Always use it in well-ventilated areas.
• Some flammable materials can conduct heat
without this being evident.
• When using it in areas where flammable ma-
terials or gases may be present, take extreme
precautions to prevent fire or explosion.
• Do not direct the mouthpiece to one place for
an excessive period of time.
• A fire may occur if the heat gun is not handled
with care.
• If the power cord is damaged, take it to a qual-
ified service center for repair.
DO NOT BLOCK THE VENT AT THE REAR OF THE
UNIT
WARNING: During application the heat noz-
zle must be kept at least above 5 cm away from
the workpiece. This is to allow air flow.
Do not touch the nozzle or the scraper blade
when working, these become extremely hot and
will cause severe burns. Wear gloves to protect
hands from hot scrapings.
