START OF CUT
The haircut takes practice so it is
always best to leave the hair longer
for the first cuts until you get used
to the length to which each comb
accessory cuts the hair.
COMB ATTACHMENTS
(see main diagram):
· Comb accessory #1: gives the
hair a length of 3mm (1/8").
· Comb attachment #2: gives the
hair a length of 6mm (1/4").
· Comb attachment #3: gives the
hair a length of 9mm (3/8").
· Comb attachment #4: gives the
hair a length of 12mm (1/2").
Each comb attachment is marked
accordingly halfway along the
outer surface.
· To attach a comb, put the teeth
upwards and slide it along the
blade until the front of the comb
sits firmly against the blade.
· To remove the comb, just slide it
up and out of the blade.
· For an event cut, let the comb
attachment/cutter to cut its way
through the hair. Do not force it
through quickly. Also remember
to comb your cut hair and check
for uneven strands.
STEP 1
NAPE OF THE NECK
1. Set the comb attachment to
3mm or 6mm.
2. Hold the clipper with the blade
teeth pointing upwards. Begin
starting at the centre of the head at
the base of the neck (diagram 1).
3. Hold the clipper comfortably in
your hand and hold it lightly
against the head with the comb
tips pointing upwards. Slowly and
gradually lift the clipper, working
upwards and outwards through the
hair, trimming just a little at a time.
4. As you cut, gradually raise the
head of the clipper towards you.
Continue cutting the back area
from the base of the neck to the
area above the ears.
