6.2 Sterilising
Before sterilising, clean as described in "6.1
Cleaning".
In order to prevent damage, follow
Caution!
the manufacturer's instructions when using
any sterilisers or sterilising solution.
1. Always dismantle the components before
boiling or steam-sterilising (temperature
above 80 °C) and leave them dismantled,
otherwise deformation may result.
2. Boil the parts for 5 minutes in a pan of
vigorously boiling water.
Ensure there is sufficient water in the pan
to avoid damage.
7. Reassembling the pump
1. Insert the pump rod 5 in the pump
diaphragm 7. The lower end of the pump
rod 5 must fit in the hole of the pump
diaphragm 7. (Fig. I).
2. Position the pump diaphragm 7 in the
breast shield 2 and press firmly in place
(Fig. J).
3. Insert the head of the pump rod 5 in the
pump lever 4 (Fig. K).
4. Engage the handle fixture 6 in the catch
for the handle 8 (Fig. L).
8.1 Expressing milk

1. Place the funnel of the breast shield over
your breast.
– Make sure that your nipple is in the
centre of the silicone cushion 1. This
prevents the nipple becoming sore.
– Gently press the breast shield 2 against
the breast so that the silicone cushion
1 fits closely and no air is sucked in
from the side.

5. Insert the lip valve 9 into the breast
shield 2 (Fig. M).
6. Screw the breast pump adapter 10 onto
the breast shield 2 (Fig. N).
7. Screw the breast milk container 11 onto
the breast pump adapter 10 with breast
shield 2 (Fig. O).
8. Position the silicone cushion 1 in the front
of the breast shield 2 and pull the edge of
the cushion over the breast shield
(Fig. P).
– Always hold the breast milk container
with the adapter and breast pump
so
upright.
2. Press the pump handle 4 then slowly
release.
Note: The further you press the pump
lever 4, the greater the suction. To reduce
the suction, do not press the pump lever
4 as far.
