8 - FITTING THE EXTRUSION CAP AND PLASTIC NOZZLES
8.1 Loosen the spray cap by turning it anti-clockwise and replace with the extrusion cap with external thread, tightening it clockwise fully
down to the end.
8.2 Select an extrusion nozzle suited to the work to be performed and tighten the nozzle clockwise onto the threaded cap. The gun is
tted with two nozzles (pos. 12-13) in plastic, and one nozzle (pos. 14), featuring a semi-round design with the possibility of being cut
to size as needed, together with special guide ns that enable extrusion along a set pro le, thus guaranteeing perfectly uniform
results. These nozzles are washable and re-usable. These can be purchased from your local retailer.
During the extrusion phase, the material nebulisation control valve must remain closed and the threaded cap (pos. 7)
must be well tightened against the nozzle.

9 - RESIDUAL RISKS

• Risk of re: Depending on the product used, there may be a risk of re: smoking and the use of naked ames are strictly
prohibited during use.
• Ejection of handwheels: there is the risk of ejection of the adjustment handwheels; never exceed the speci ed adjustment
limits.
• Air jet: this risk exists mainly in association with activation of the rst stroke (exit of air only); take care to keep eyes and ears
at a safe distance and avoid all volatile dust or hazardous substances. Always use safety goggles, and in the presence of volatile
powders used suitable personal protective equipment for the respiratory ways, and ensure e ectiveness of protection against
the substances involved.
• Hand injuries: this risk exists mainly during the loading operations and/or routine maintenance, in the vicinity of the threads
and during use.
10 - CLEANING AND ROUTINE MAINTENANCE by the operator
Always disconnect the gun from the air supply when performing routine maintenance.
10.1 Pipeline cleaning
• The use of personal protective equipment is compulsory during cleaning using solvents and detergents, as speci ed in point 4
• Remove the cartridge from the tube
• Insert the required quantity of solvent product in the internal pipelines; always ensure that the product is compatible, as speci
ed in this manual and the safety/technical data sheets of the solvent used
• Leave to act for a few minutes
• Close the base and reconnect the supply
• Spray the solvent directing the jet into a collection container; repeat the operation until completely clean
Solvents must be disposed of according to legislation in the country of use.
Ensure that the air-product adjustment handwheel is completely closed to avoid nebulisation of the solvent with consequent
contamination of the surrounding environment.
Never immerse the gun completely in the solvent, but only clean with a brush or cloth.
10.2 External cleaning of the nozzle and cap
• The use of personal protective equipment is compulsory during cleaning using solvents and detergents, as speci ed in
point 4
• Use a brush soaked in suitable solvent for cleaning the relative parts; always ensure that the product is compatible, as
speci ed in this manual and the safety/technical data sheets of the solvent used
• Clean the caps and nozzle with the brush to remove all residual product; on completion use a clean cloth to dry all parts.
A clogged or dirty gun can impair performance of the device; always keep the cap, nozzle and all internal pipelines clean,
and follow procedure 4.2 to ensure that no air has entered the gun or cartridge itself.
10.3 Eliminating leaks from the gland stud (14)
• If product leaks from the area of the gland stud and needle in front of the trigger, clean all a ected parts immediately,
tighten the gland stud clockwise to ensure sealing e ciency in the gun and prevent further leaks; also ensure that the
closure needle still moves freely.
