Troubleshooting
Problem
Red LED does not illuminate to
indicate the Battery (5) is cor-
rectly charging
Battery pack has low capacity
Impact drill cannot be switched
'ON' (Trigger Switch (13) does
not move)
Impact drill does not start when
Trigger Switch is depressed

Possible cause
Battery not correctly connected to Charger (8)
Battery Charger not powered
Battery not being fully charged
Battery pack has been charged over 100 times
and capacity has started to reduce
The Forward/Reverse Switch (3) may be in
the middle ('locked') position (Fig. IV)
Battery completely discharged
Defective Battery
Tool defective
Solution
Clean battery socket of Battery Charger (8) and Battery
contacts and fully slide on to Charger
Recheck mains connection
Do not remove Battery from the Battery Charger
until a full charge is indicated
This is normal for battery packs. Contact your Silverline
dealer to purchase a replacement battery pack
Slide the Forward/Reverse Switch to the forward or reverse
positon, see 'Direction control' section
Recharge battery or replace with a fully charged battery
Replace Battery
Contact your Silverline dealer or authorised service centre
