XR8 -
Detector tend infrared radio XR Series
INSERTING OR REPLACING THE BATTERY
After removing the old battery, press hold the right button for 5 seconds; then release it and insert
the new battery, checking that the two LEDs stay lit for an istant. If not, repeat the process keeping the
right button pressed for a little longer.
To stabilise the detection circuit, wait 60 seconds, during which the green LED will flash
intermittently. The XR8 is then ready for use.
PROGRAMMATION
Press and hold the two buttons until both LEDs are lit, then release.
Enter the zone code using the inferior button for one (S2) and the superior button for zero (S1)
Follow the programming procedure, depending of the central used:
Installed with XR100
000 - Zone 2
100 - Zone 3
Installed with XR1600
000 - Zone 0
001 - Zone 1
010 - Zone 2
011 - Zone 3
100 - Zone 4
101 - Zone 5
110 - Zone 6
111 - Zone 7
Then enter the 18-digit terminal code, checking that the Green LED lights up for one (S2,inferior
button) and the red LED for zero (S1,superior button).
The end of programmation is signalled from the ignition for an istant
for two LED .
Attention : if you enter a terminal code containing a sequence of all ones or all zeros, the XR8 will produce an
error signal and both LEDs will flash simultaneously to indicate an error.
SENSITIVITY SETTING
Press and hold the S2 button of the XR8 for a few seconds until the red LED lights up, then release it.
The green LED will light up each time the sensor detects movement, but will not trigger the alarm on the base
unit. This allows you to set the device to the desired sensitivity (turn trimmer clockwise to increase sensitvity);
for a reliable configuration, make sure to replace the cover each time it is changed and ensure that the lens is
positioned correctly on the pyroelectric sensor.
To interrupt the test phase, press both buttons simultaneously until both LEDs light-up; otherwise, wait
until the test is completed (5 minutes).
FUNCTION TEST
Press and hold the superior button S2 for a few seconds until the green LED lights up; this will start the
sensor test phase, and enables the XR series to send signals to the base unit.
During this phase, the transmission interval time (5 min.) is deactivated and the sensor transmits at
each detection. To interrupt the test phase, press both buttons simultaneously until both LEDs light-up;
otherwise, wait until the test is completed (5 minutes).
LOW BATTERY SIGNALLING
Each time the contact is opened:
Green LED: normal functioning
Red LED: battery discharged
