In order to reduce the risk of burns
or other personal injury from
escaping gas vapor and fumes,
remove the fuel filler cap carefully
so as to allow any pressure build-
up in the tank to release slowly
Opening the cap
N
Raise the grip until it is upright.
N
Turn the cap counterclockwise
(approx. a quarter turn).
N
Remove the filler cap.
Fueling
Take care not to spill fuel while fueling
and do not overfill the tank.
FS 56, FS 56 R, FS 56 C, FS 56 RC
Closing the cap
N
Fit the cap – grip upright –marks
must line up.
N
Turn the cap clockwise as far as
stop (approx. a quarter turn).
N
Fold the grip flush with the top of the
cap.
If the grip does not lie completely flush
with the cap and the detent on the grip
does not engage the recess in the filler
neck, the cap is not properly seated and
tightened and you must repeat the
above steps.
Change the fuel pick up body
Change the fuel pick up body every
year.
N
Open the filler cap and drain the fuel
tank.
N
Use a hook to pull the fuel pickup
body out of the tank and take it off
the hose.
Do not kink the fuel hose – do not
use any sharp or pointed tools.
N
Push the new pickup body into the
hose.
N
Place the pickup body in the tank
and close the filler cap.
