Initial use
Before starting to use the appliance, make sure that all preparations are
made in accordance with the instructions in the "Important Safety and
Environmental Instructions" and "Installation" sections. To prepare the
machine for washing laundry, perform the first operation in the Drum cleaning
programme. If this programme is not available on your machine, use the
method described in the corresponding chapter.
INFORMATION
• Use an anti-limescale suitable for washing machines.
• There may be water left in the washing machine as a result of quality
assurance processes during production. This does not affect the machine.
Preparation
Sorting laundry
• Sort laundry by type of fabric, colour, degree of soiling and permitted water
temperature.
• Always follow the washing instructions on clothing labels.
Preparation of laundry for washing
• Items with metal parts such as underwire bras, belt buckles or metal buttons will
damage the machine. You can remove the metal parts or wash these clothes by
putting them in a laundry bag or pillowcase.
• Remove all foreign objects such as coins, ballpoint pens and paper clips from
