5.7 Plunge cuts
Use the following procedure to perform plunge
cuts:
1.
Align the machine on the workpiece.
The markings (22) on the lower guard

and on the slider serve as orientation for
the cutting range of the saw blade when
it is extended to the full cutting depth.
For other cutting depths, use the MT-PA
position indicator described in chapter
5.10.3 .
2.
Switch on the plunge cut saw and plunge to
the selected cutting depth.
3.
Push the machine steadily forward in the
cutting direction.
4.
Switch off the machine at the end of the cut.
5.
Return to the upper locked position.
The plunge cut is performed.

Warning
Risk of kickback with plunge cuts!
With plunge cuts, there is a risk of kickback when the machine jams.
This can cause serious injuries.
➢
Prior to plunging, position the machine such that the rear edge of
the base plate is in contact with a stop that is fixed to the
workpiece.
While plunging in, hold the machine firmly by the handle and push

the machine slightly forward!
