5.5 Using the mixing function

Fill the desired ingredients into the mixing bowl, place it on the base and turn the
bowl fi rmly.

Position the splash guard.

Check that the mixing elements are fi rmly mounted on the motor head.

Tilt the motor head down and make sure that the release lever is engaged.

Plug the power plug into the power outlet.

We recommend initially running at speed level 1 for a few seconds and then increa-
sing to the desired speed.
If you still want to add ingredients during processing, you can add them through the
opening in the splash guard of the mixing bowl.
Use the dough scraper to loosen any food that has stuck to the edge and then run the
appliance again.

At the beginning of all mixing processes, for
mixing and blending. Do not use the mixing
level for kneading.
For mixing and kneading yeast dough, heavy
dough (e.g. for bread), mashed potatoes and
mixing butter into fl our. For slow mixing of
stirred doughs.
For mixing shortcrust pastry, blending butter
and sugar or sugar and egg whites. Medium
speed for ready-made cake mixes.
For foaming, mixing or beating cake batter. High
speed for ready-made cake mixes.
For whipping cream, egg whites and icing.
