Front carry inward-facing with crossed (X) straps
•
Tip! Practice the following steps with a doll or teddy bear until you feel
confident.
•
For small babies (up to approx. 5 months), use the upper button of the two
leg support positions for knee-to-knee support and a good leg position.
(15)
•
As your baby grows (approx. 5 months and older), use the lower button of
the two leg support positions. (15)
1.
Place the waist belt around your waist. Connect the waist belt buckle in
front. It is locked when you hear a click. Rotate the waist belt until the
waist belt buckle is in the back. Tighten the waist belt. (16, 17, 18)
2.
Place your baby facing you. (19)
3.
Fit the main body of the baby carrier over the back of your baby. (20)
4.
Take the right shoulder strap, cross it behind your back and connect it
with the left shoulder strap buckle button. (21)
5.
Do the opposite for the left shoulder strap. (22)
6.
Both buckles are locked when you hear a click.
7.
Tighten the shoulder straps. (23, 24, 25)
8.
Tip: If you like, you can fan out the shoulder straps by pulling out the extra
fabric from underneath it. To wear it with slimmer shoulder straps, tuck
the extra fabric underneath the straps again. (26)
9.
Check and correct baby's posture with a pelvic tuck: place your hands
inside the babycarrier low on your baby's back. Move your hands down
and towards you and rotate baby's bottom so that baby's crotch is angled
towards you and the knees are raised. The spine of the baby should have
a natural 'C' curve. (27)
10.
For smaller babies, fold the head support down for good ventilation and
air access while making sure their head is supported. Fasten the head
support loops to the head support buttons. As your baby grows, fold the
head support upwards. (28)
11.
For more space around your baby's head, you can make the shoulder
straps more narrow by closing the shoulder strap narrowing buttons on
each side.
12.
To take the baby out follow the steps in reverse order. Always keep a hand
on your baby.
