Operating instructiOns
we thank you for purchasing the mobile radio Babysitter MOdel Berlin. the system is characterised by
a simple, uncomplicated operation. transmitter and receiver can be operated alternatively with a plug-in
power supply as well as with batteries or accumulators.
the transmitter is equipped with an automatic voice control. that means that the transmitter is only
activated, if noises (e.g. the crying of your child) occur. unnecessary electrical smog is avoided by this
function.
the max. radio range (in the open with direct visibility) is approx. 250 meters with mains power supply.
the range can vary in the house or to the neighbour, due to local conditions (e.g. reinforced concrete floors
and walls, trees and ground elevations).
the radio Babysitter MOdel Berlin transmits a non-audible digital signal additionally to the noises.
the receiver only switches the transmission on, if this signal is received. thus interference by other radio
communication systems is prevented to a large extent.
using the transmitter and receiver for the first time

1. Mains OperatiOn

connect the appliance plug of the power adapter with the power supply bushes (10) of the transmitter
and receiver.
nOte:
power led (5) permanently lights up green in the case of mains powersupply (flashes in the case of battery
operation)
2. channel adjustMent
Open battery compartment of transmitter and receiver by pushing the cover back. the channel switch has
been placed into the battery compartment, to avoid an unintentional switching of the channels.
cautiOn:
the channel switch (2) must be adjusted to the same position in both devices. the channel switch should
be changed over to another channel, if other voices or noises are audible in the receiver on the selected
channel, in order to avoid interference.
3. Battery OperatiOn Of the transMitter.
the transmitter can also be operated with 9 V alkaline block battery, in order to use it independently of
location.
nOte:
the battery service life is max. 2 days. the range is then only maximum 150 meters. the power led (5)
flashes green in the case of battery operation
4. Battery OperatiOn/ MOnitOring in the receiver.
insert 3 x alkaline Mignon batteries "aa" into the battery compartment, while observing the polarity
