3 • GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE USER
• Do not keep explosive materials close to the appliance
• Disconnect power connection, if you do not use the appliance for an extended period of time
• Not respecting these recommendations could lead to damage of the appliance or injury for the user.
• Boiling hazard: to avoid reaching boiling point, do not use containers filled with liquids that liquefy with
heat that exceeds that which can be easily kept under control.
• The sound pressure level emitted by the product is less than 70dB.
IMPORTANT
Avoid using the appliance with cooking plate completely down and without
any grid or tray on the lower plate. This can damage performance of lower
cooking plate (if available) and overheat electronic parts. In this case, any
fault would not be covered by warranty.
WARNING!
In the event of malfunctioning:
• Switch off the appliance immediately
• And cut out and / or turn off all mains supplies (electricity)
• Only call the service centre or an authorised dealer and ask for original spare parts
• Disconnect the appliance from the mains power supply before carrying out any cleaning operations.
• Clean the appliance carefully with a wet sponge or an appropriate detergent, before using it. Do not use
acids or corrosive cleaners, metal scourers or brushes.
• Do not wash the appliance with jets of water under pressure.
Cleaning the appliance daily means also better cooking results. Indeed:
• The flavour and smell of the food are unaltered
• You will get homogenous results, without
smoke
• Less energy is consumed
• Costly, inconvenient maintenance opera-
tions are avoided
To clean the grids runners, remove them by
unscrewing (30°) the two fixing screws (see
picture).
After cleaning, place the grids runners and
fasten the screws.
