PLEASE READ AND SAVE THIS INSTRUCTION AND CARE MANUAL.
When using an electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be followed,
including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
2. To protect against electrical shock do not immerse cord, plugs, or main body in water or
other liquid.
3. Household use only.
4. Do not use outdoors.
5. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
6. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or inside a heated oven.
7. Do not use near, or on, flammable or explosive surfaces. Do not place on damp surfaces.
8. This appliance should be placed on a stable surface, out of reach of children.
9. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
10. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they are
supervised or have received specific instructions concerning the use of the appliance from a
person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the appliance.
11. Use an AC power supply that is consistent with the voltage indicated on the nameplate.
12. Do not operate any appliance that has a damaged cord or plug, after the appliance has

13. Use a suitable grounding power supply to ensure personal safety.
a) A short power cord is provided to reduce the risk of a longer cord becoming entangled
or of someone tripping over it.
b) Extension cords may be used if care is exercised in their use.
c) If extension cord is used:
1) The marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least that of the appliance;
2) The power cord should be placed so that it will not hang from the countertop or
tabletop, to avoid it being pulled by children or tripped over unintentionally; and
3) If the appliance is of the grounded type, the power cord or extension cord should be a
grounding 3-wire cord.
14. When plugging the power cord into the electrical outlet, you must insert it all the way to
ensure good contact.
15. The power plug and socket should always be dry. Do not plug and unplug the power plug
with wet hands, to prevent electric shock.
16. The use of accessories is not recommended by the appliance manufacturer because they
might cause injuries.
17. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other
hot liquids.
18. To disconnect the appliance, unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
19. Do not use the appliance for other than its intended use.
20. The heating element is subject to residual heat after use; avoid contact with it.
21. Steam will be produced when the product is in use. Do not put your face or hands near the
steam opening to avoid burns. Objects that may be damaged by steam should not be placed
above the appliance. Do not cover the steam opening with rags or similar items to avoid
accidents or product failure.
22. When the product is in use, the glass steam cup and the clear lid are hot. Do not touch to
avoid burns.
