The battery (1) is housed under the seat, and is accessible
by removing the cover (2).
Connect the battery connector (3) to the machine's connector
(4) and arrange the cable (5) so that it is held in place (7).
Using the connector (6), recharge the battery
to the instructions in the booklet (see 6.2.3),
the cover (2).
IMPORTANT Always fully charge the battery according to
the instructions in the battery booklet.

4. CONTROLS
• Steering wheel (Fig. 10.1)
• Parking brake lever (Fig. 10.2)

• Cutting means engage command and brake (Fig. 10.3)

• Cutting height adjustment (Fig. 10.4)
To move from one position to another, the lever must
be moved sideways and repositioned in one of the stop
notches.
• Key switch (Fig. 10.5)
The key enables/disables the machine and headlights
ignition (if available).
Stop position.
On position.
Start position.
IMPORTANT Remove the key whenever the machine is left
unattended or not in use.
• Throttle control (Fig. 10.6)

means are engaged, without causing the engine to stop

In the first part of the stroke it acts as a clutch by engaging
or disengaging the wheel drive.
In the second part it acts as a brake, acting on the rear
wheels
• Speed control lever (mechanical drive) (Fig. 10.12)
This lever has six positions, corresponding to the four forward
gears, neutral «N» and reverse «R».
To shift from one gear to the other, press the pedal (Fig.
10.11) halfway down and move the lever according to the
indications on the label.
• Brake pedal (hydrostatic drive) (Fig. 10.21)
This pedal operates the brakes on the rear wheels.
• Drive pedal (hydrostatic drive) (Fig. 10.22)
To engage the forward gear, press the toe in the direction
«F»; Increasing the pressure on the pedal progressively
increases the speed of the machine.
Reverse gear is engaged by depressing the pedal with the
heel in the direction «R».
The pedal automatically goes into neutral position «N»
when released.
IMPORTANT If the drive pedal is operated in both forward
and reverse with the parking brake (fig. 10.2) engaged, the
engine stops.
• Hydrostatic drive engagement / disengagement
lever (Fig. 10.23)
«A» = Drive engaged
«B» = Drive disengaged
IMPORTANT To avoid damaging the drive unit, this oper-
ation should only be carried out with the engine stopped, with
the pedal (fig. 10.22) in neutral.
IMPORTANT The engagement/disengagement lever must
never be in the intermediate position. This condition will cause
overheating and damage the transmission.
