XR938H True Colour Light Reactive Welding and Grinding Helmet (ENGLISH)
MAINTENANCE
REPLACEMENT OF FRONT COVER LENS
• Remove the front cover lens by pulling out the
lower edge at the notch at the front of the filter.
• Make sure the protective films are removed from
new front cover lenses.
• Place the new front cover lens in the recess at
the front of the helmet
• Insert the cover lens under the lugs on the left
hand side of the filter. Then flex the cover lens
so that it can be inserted under the lugs on the
right hand side of the filter.
• Only use original Parweld cover lenses. Use of
lower-grade cover lenses may cause warping
and allow spatter to damage the filter, so
invalidating the warranty. This may also reduce
the impact rating.
NOTE – Do not use the helmet without the cover
lens in place
REPLACEMENT OF INSIDE COVER LENS
• Remove the inside cover lens by pulling out the
top edge at the notch at the back of the filter.
• Mount the new inside cover lens after you have
removed the protective film.
• Insert the cover lens under the frame at one
side, bend the cover lens in the middle and
place it under the frame at the other side.

REPLACEMENT OF WELDING FILTER
• Prise off the shade adjusting knob from the
outside of the helmet and unscrew the locking
nut below.
• From inside the helmet push the spring at the
bottom of the filter down and pull it towards you
so that it clears the location tabs.
• Lift the bottom of the filter and pull the filter
towards you so that it sits on the frame.
• Now lift the retainer spring to the upright position
then pass the shade potentiometer cable sliding
the filter towards you if needed.
• Once the cable is free, you can remove the filter
and mount the new filter.
INSPECTION
• Carefully inspect your Parweld Auto Darkening
Welding Filter regularly.
• Cracked or scratched filter glasses or cover
lenses reduce the field of view and seriously
impair protection. They should be replaced
immediately to avoid damage to the eyes.
• Inspect the complete helmet frequently and
replace any worn or damaged parts
CLEANING
• Clean the helmet with mild soap and a
damp cloth.
• Clean the welding filter with clean lint-free
tissue or cloth.
• Do not immerse in water.
• Do not use solvents.
