Connections
To start operation of the display case, all you have to do is plug the WLAN stick
into the end of the display case and connect the switched mode power pack to the
display case.
The working display case starts automatically, when it is supplied with voltage. When
starting, it sets up a WLAN, in which you can select your mobile device. This can be
done by selecting the appropriate WLAN and then entering the password or by using
the QR Code™ (included as an adhesive label). Please follow the instructions for this
included with your mobile device and the browser being used.
Name of the Network: csv-<serial number>
Password: maerklin160
Note: When you connect your mobile device to the WLAN for the working display
case, you cannot set up a connection to the Internet using this WLAN. You do not
need to pay attention to notes about this in reference to your mobile device.
Selecting the Locomotive
This display case is not designed for the installation of a particular locomotive. The
following points must be observed however when selecting a locomotive:
• The bolts for mounting the locomotive on the presentation board must be centered
under the locomotive. Locomotives with side mounting bolts are not suitable here.
• The locomotive decoder must support mfx. Mfx must be activated. Operation using
DCC or MM (Motorola) is not possible.
• Pay attention of the locomotive dimensions.
The following table shows Märklin locomotives, which can currently be used.

Installation of a Locomotive
The display case must be completely free of voltage in order to install a locomotive.
First, the transparent cover must be removed. Then a locomotive can be screwed to
the display board. To do this, use the mounting bolts included with the display case.
The bolts to fit the locomotive are listed in the table.
• Select suitable mounting bolts. Mount the bolts on the locomotive.
• Place the locomotive on the display board.
• 2 wheel pickups are included. Place the wheel pickups on the display board so
that they contact the lowest spot on a wheelset. Make sure that the affected
wheelset is used for picking up current for the locomotive and that the feeder
wires to the two wheel pickups come from the same side (polarity, short circuit!).
• Secure the bolts on the underside of the display board with the nuts included with
the display case.
• Then check that none of the moving wheelsets is touching the track on the display
board.
• Place the cover over the locomotive. Pay attention to the sensitive contacts in the
corners of the cover.
