11) Keep the lever in position as you start turning in an anticlockwise direction
until the bead comes completely out of the rim.
12) Remove the bead levering tool.
13) Start turning the spindle to bring the wheel valve to the lower position (6
o'clock), then lower the vertical carriage until the wheel is resting on the wheel
centring rollers.
14) Completely remove the inner tube.
NB: To simplify the operation, move the horizontal carriage from the wheel, so that
the wheel is moved slightly out of the rim, thus creating the necessary working
space.
15) Place the bead levering tool on the tyre changer inside the rim and clamp it
using the bar (see Fig. R3).
16) Start turning the spindle and, at the same time, move the carriage so that
the tool penetrates between the wheel and rim until it touches the outside edge
of the rim.
17) With the bead hooked to the tool, raise the wheel 4-5 cm.
18) Move the horizontal carriage to push the bead to the outside of the rim, so that
the red reference mark on the tool is about 3 cm beyond the edge of the rim.
19) Insert the bead lifter lever LA between the rim and bead on the right of the tool following the procedure used for the outside bead.
20) Keep the lever pressed on the wheel as you lower the vertical carriage, until the rim is about 5 mm from the bead levering tool (see
Fig. R4).
21) Keep the lever pressed as you start turning the spindle anticlockwise, until the tyre comes completely out of the rim.
MOUNTING
1) If the rim has been removed from the spindle, reposition it and clamp it in place
by repeating the procedure described in the "CLAMPING THE WHEEL" paragraph.
NB: For rims greater in width than the centring rollers, it is advisable to use the
optional accessory, LRB Large Rim Board.
2) Fit the bead levering tool on the tyre changer inside the rim and clamp it in
place using the bar (see Fig. R5).
3) Fix the rim clamp (PC or PL) on the outside edge at the bottom of the rim ap-
proximately in the 7 o'clock position.
4) Position the tyre on the wheel centring rollers of the horizontal carriage.
5) Lubricate the beads on the tyre and rim using a special soap solution.
6) Bring the bead levering tool in position, with the red reference mark lined up
with the outside edge of the rim and about 5 mm from it (see Fig. R6).
7) Turn it until the clamp is at the bottom in the 5 o'clock position. The first bead
will now be hooked into the rim.
8) Remove the clamp.
