9) Move the horizontal carriage to the left to remove the tool from the tyre; then remove the tool from the carriage.
10) Turn the spindle until the valve hole is at the bottom (6 o'clock position).
11) Move the tyre to the horizontal carriage and lower the latter until the rim is lined up with the centre of the tyre.
12) Insert the inner tube and fit the valve on the rim using the spinner provided.
NB: Move the horizontal carriage slightly away from the wheel so that the tyre is slightly pushed out of the rim, leaving enough working
space.
WARNING: If the hole for fixing the valve on the rim is not in line with the drop centre, position the inner tube as shown in Figure R7.
13) Fit the inner tube.
NB: Raise and turn the tube gradually to facilitate the operation.
14) Inflate the inner tube slightly, just enough to expand it evenly to fit inside the tyre.
NB: This operation allows the second bead to be fitted on the rim, thus reducing the risk of hooking into the inner tube and damaging it.
15) Turn the valve to the bottom (6 o'clock position).
Fit a special extension for the valve and then remove the spinner fixed to the rim.
NB: Due to the thrust received by the inner tube during insertion of the second bead,
the valve must be able to re-enter the wheel easily and then return automatically
to its position when mounting is complete.
16) Fix the rim clamp (PC or PL) to the outside edge of the rim about 20 cm to
the right of the valve.
17) Lubricate the tyre bead and rim with a special soap solution.
18) Turn the self-centering device clockwise to bring the clamp to the 9 o'clock
position.
19) Place the bead levering tool on the tyre changer in the position outside the rim
and block it using the bar (see Fig. R1).
R7
20) Position the bead levering tool between the tyre and the rim, with the red refer-
ence mark on the outside border of the rim and about 5mm from it (see Fig. R8).
21) By means of the hole provided, hook the bead levering tool to the LG bead
guide lever (available on request) and insert the end between the tyre and the rim
(see Fig. R9).
22) Keep the lever firmly inserted and turn the bead guide lever clockwise inside
the rim drop centre until mounting is complete.
23) Remove the LG bead guide lever and the PC rim clamp from the wheel.
R8
24) Move the horizontal carriage to remove the bead levering tool from the tyre
while turning it.
25) Remove the bead levering tool from the tyre changer.
26) Move the wheel so it is resting on the horizontal carriage.
27) Remove the wheel's spinner and fixing cone, taking care to support the wheel
itself to prevent it from falling.
28) Move the horizontal carriage so as to make room between the wheel and spindle,
then take it out of the tyre changer.
