(FIG.14)
Position the wheelchair on a comfortable surface (workbench).
Remove the screws on the frame, upper (FIG.14) and lower (FIG.15), and on the backrest (rear
sides) (FIG.13) and free the telescopic tubes inside the structure (FIG.16).
Move the frame backwards as far as the new holes in the desired position (2 cm. steps), up
to a maximum of 10 cm. Adjust the sides to the new seat measurement. Tighten the screws
completely.
WARNING!

recommended to mount OPTIONAL CLA242-1 or CLA242-2 Seat depth variation
kit.

9. BEFORE EVERY USE
• Always check for wear and tear of moving mechanical parts, in order to ensure that the
wheelchair can be used in total safety for both people and property.
• Check that the wheelchair has been assembled correctly and particularly that the rear
wheels have been inserted properly.
• Check that the seat is completely open and locked into the final position (if it is not, press
down firmly on the seat towards the frame).
• Check correct functioning of the brake on the rear wheels.
10. WARNINGS ON USE
• The wheelchair is not designed for use as a seat in a motor vehicle.
• Always ensure that the brake control is properly regulated and functioning.
• Take care to avoid trapping fingers in certain parts, such as wheels or brakes, when using the
wheelchair.
• Remember that the wheelchair surface temperature may increase when exposed to external
heat sources, such as sunlight.
(FIG.15)
The tension of the elastic backrest can be adjusted to facilitate
containment of the trunk: Remove the padded cushion from the
backrest, loosen the Velcro straps and position the wheelchair user in
a manner that the backrest fits more snugly around their trunk. Close
the straps and reposition the padded cushion on the backrest. (FIG.17)
