Keep third parties away from the power tool's area of
operation. Never work while animals or people,
especially children, are in the danger zone.
Keep the work area clean, organized and well lit (250 to 300
lux), thus decreasing the risk of accidents.
Always wear personal protective equipment and clothing.
Wearing a visor or goggles, dust mask, hearing protection,
anti-slip safety shoes, long-sleeved clothing, gloves and
helmet properly reduces the risk of injury.
Clothing worn during the appliance operation must be
adequate, tight and closed, for example, a work boiler suit.
Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep hair, clothing
and gloves away from moving parts.
The control and safety devices installed must not be
removed or inhibited.
To avoid accidents, you should also take into consideration
the following precautions and procedures:
▪ The rated speed of the rotating accessories must be at
least equal to the maximum speed indicated in the
technical specifications of the drywall screwdriver;
▪ When operating the drywall screwdriver, place yourself
in a stable position and always keep your balance. Hold
the appliance firmly to ensure continuous operation and
withstand unexpected situations, such as kickback;
▪ The kickback is a sudden reaction that happens when
the power tool is switched on and the rotating accessory
gets jammed. The rotating accessory kickback forces the
power tool to rotate in the opposite direction to the
rotation of the accessory;
▪ The kickback occurs due to an incorrect use of the power
tool or due to an improper working procedure which can
cause serious injuries to the user. Loss of control can
result in serious injury. To avoid the kickback, the
following precautions must be considered:
- Place the bit in the correct position and keep it securely
locked in place;
- Do not position your body in the area where power tool
will move if kickback occurs;
▪ Never put your hands near the bit. Keep your hands away
from the rotating parts;
▪ When the rotating accessory gets jammed, switch off the
tool immediately;
▪ Never put the tool down before the rotating accessory
has completely stopped. The rotating accessory may
grab the surface, causing you to lose control of the
power tool;
▪ Make sure that the ventilation slots are not clogged. Do
not place any objects over the slots;
▪ The drywall screwdriver may become too hot during
operation;
▪ Make sure that you do not damage the electrical circuits,
gas and water pipes when operating the equipment. Any
damage to these installations can cause fire, explosion,
electric shock or property damage;
▪ Avoid using the drywall screwdriver on surfaces coated
with paints containing lead or other materials harmful to
health. Any contact or inhalation of dust may cause
allergic reactions and / or breathing disorders. Wear a
mask and work with a dust extraction device if the power
tool allows so;
▪ Materials containing asbestos cannot be worked.
Asbestos is carcinogenic.
