Question/Problem - Cause
Cause
The drywall screwdriver does not start:
• Disconnected or damaged power cord;
• ON/OFF switch electrical contacts are not in good
condition or it does not work;
• Rotor or stator windings are damaged;
• Short-circuited rotor windings;
The motor makes
intermittently or runs slowly:
• ON/OFF switch electrical contacts are damaged;
• Mechanical parts are blocked;
• The carbon brushes are worn out;
Drywall screwdriver overheats:
• Overloaded appliance;
• Poor assembly of the housing or pieces inside the
drywall sander;
• Faulty power supply;
Sparks are generated around the rotor:
• The carbon brushes are worn out;
• Short-circuited rotor or stator;

• Connect or repair the power cord;
• Repair or replace the switch;
