Read this before starting projection:
Please read these instructions carefully and
keep them for later reference.
See the pictures which correspond to the
respective text under the same number
(pages 2 + 3).
Important Security Hints
— Before cleaning, servicing, replacing
of parts or correcting operating problems,
always withdraw the plug from the mains.
— When changing the projection lamp, let
the projector cool down before touching
the lamp and the surrounding parts.
— Mains voltage: only 220...230 V AC
(see type plate on bottom of the projector).
— Keep all ventilation openings free.
— Do not run the projector unattended.
Mains Connection
Connect the PAXISCOPE-XL by means of the
mains cable with the mains. The unit must be
used with 220...230 V AC (see type plate on bot
tom of projector).
Picture 1 — Mains Switch
The mains switch is situated on the rear side of
the unit. Push the switch on the side marked
with „ I " . Now the ventilator is running and
the projection lamp burns when the cover is
closed; when the cover is opened, the intervall
light is switched on.
To switch the PAXISCOPE-XL off, just push the
mains switch on the side marked with " 0 " .

Open the cover (the intervall light burns) and
place the picture on the screen. The size of the
screen is 15 x 15 cms.

Close the cover. The projection lamp is now
switched on by means of the micro switch
situated to the right side above the screen.
Your picture is now projected.
Picture 4 — Fixing Spring
By means of the spring you can fix your picture
on the screen.
Picture 5 — Projection of Croppings
Should you wish to project croppings of sub
jects larger than 15 x 15 cm, you can remove
the cover by pressing it beyond the stop point
in open position.

Now you can place the subject on the screen.
Take care that the projection lamp is switched
on by the micro switch.
Attention:
Take care that all ventilation openings are free.
Picture 7 — Adjusting the Picture
You can adjust the projector properly to
the projection screen with the help of two
adjustable feet on the front of the unit. To avoid
any distortion, the projector should be placed
exactly horizontal opposite the centre of the
projection screen.
Picture 8 — Focusing
The picture is focused by turning the projection
lens. For shorter distance, when the lens has to
be screwed out far to the front, the support
underneath the lens should be drawn out from
the unit to give the lens a better rest.
Picture 9 — Cable Compartment
The mains cable can easily be stored in the
respective com partment on the lower side of
the unit.
