11. MAINTENANCE
All the Moretti devices are checked carefully and supplied with CE mark, once launched on the
market. For patient and physician's safety we recommend to be checked by the manufacturer once
a year, to certify the suitability. Make a check in particular for unit base, for the lift device and its
hinges, controls, safety device, person support device, and each trial which should be useful. Every
check should include trials with the maximum charge. In case of repair only original spare parts can
be used.

13. CONDITIONS OF DISPOSAL
When disposing of the device never use the normal return systems of municipal solid waste.
It is recommended instead to disposal through the joint municipal ecological islands for the
expected operations of recycling the materials used.
13.1 Disposal of batteries and electronic components
Disposal instructions, as required by directive 2012/19/UE
At the end of its service life, the product may not be disposed of together with normal municipal waste.
It must be delivered to the municipal sorted disposal centre or to the reseller, who provides this service.
Sorted waste disposal reduces the environmental and health consequences of improper disposal and
enables its materials to be recycled, this resulting in energy and resource savings. To highlight the re-
quirement for sorted disposal of electromedical equipment, the product bears the barred bin symbol.
13.2 Treatment of exhausted batteries (Directive 2006/66/EC):
This symbol indicates that the batteries may not be treated like common household waste. Make sure the
batteries are disposed of properly; this prevents the possible environmental and health consequences of
incorrect disposal. Recycling helps to conserve natural resources. Deliver exhausted batteries to a proper
recycling centre. For more detailed information regarding the disposal of exhausted batteries or the product
itself, contact the municipality, local waste disposal service or the reseller from whom you purchased the
device.
