To install the pump, disconnect the pump housing from its base (pre-filter).
1. Press the snap fasteners on both sides of the pump. Disconnect the pump
housing from its base.
2. Choose pump position.
If only one pump is used, it is positioned usually in a place where water in
the bilge is the deepest when the boat is at rest. The system must allow the
hose to be emptied completely.
CAUTION! The base (pre-filter) must be always properly mounted before
connecting and activating the pump.
3. Place the pump base so that the pump outlet nozzle is positioned properly.
A. If the pump base is mounted to wood, mount it using stainless steel
screws.
B. If the pump base is mounted to metal or glass fibre, first mount a
wooden block, and then mount the pump base to the wooden block.
4. All water pockets must be eliminated by routing the hose horizontally or
continuously upwards.
5. Mount the pump on the base so that both locks snap in proper place.
6. Mount an 11/9" ID hose to the outlet nozzle and using a stainless steel snap
fastener. Using this hose is recommended as it does not kink at sharp
bends.
CAUTION! Limiting flow from the pump by using a smaller hose will not
cause damage to the pump. It will, however, reduce flow.
7. Installation site:
A. For the majority of systems install an 11/8" ID full-size through
connector to obtain rated pump flow. Place the through connector at
