least 12" above the water level to prevent water backflow to the hull
when the pump is off.
B. For stern installation place the 11/8" through connector on such a
height on the stern so that it is not immersed under any conditions.
8. To prevent electrolysis and corrosion of cable connections, it is necessary
to seal all cable ends and terminals using a robust marine sealant and place
them above the highest possible water level.
9. During pump installation use 16 AWG cables. If the system is placed,
however, at a distance exceeding 20" from the power supply (battery),
increase the cable cross-section to 14 AWG. Using an insufficient cable will
cause undesirable heating of cables, voltage drop, and lower pump
capacity.
10. To protect electrical cables and the circuit breaker against possible
overload, install a fuse on the battery's plus (+) cable. Check if a properly
rated fuse is installed.
11. Machine wiring diagram
A. Machine manual operation
Pump control includes its manual activation or deactivation. In this
mode monitor pump operation so that it does not run dry too long after
water has been pumped out.
B. Machine automatic operation
Automatic deactivation of the pump after water has been pumped out
extends service life of the pump and the battery. This mode of
operation may also allow for the pump's manual control by installing a
panel switch. Panel switches have "fail-safe" function to automatically
restore the switch to "OFF", preventing from accidentally leaving the
pump running.
