EMERGENCY OPENING
If you forget the code for opening the safe, it can be opened
using the superuser code, by following the aforementioned
instructions (OPENING). If you can't remember the codes and/
or the safe's batteries have run out, you can use the emergency
key to open the door.
Complete the following steps to use the emergency key:
1. Remove the small plastic cover on the front panel by
pressing the left side of the cover inward.
2. Insert the key into the keyhole and turn it counterclockwise.
3. Turn the knob clockwise to open the safe.
If you use the emergency key to open the safe while it is still
blocked, the safe will become operational again.
CAUTION: Do not keep the keys inside the safe itself.
LOW BATTERY INDICATOR
Each time that you use the safe, the electronic system will
check the condition of the batteries.
If the batteries are low, the red light (at the top of the number
panel) will warn you immediately. The safe needs 4 x 1.5 V
alkaline batteries that are installed in the back of the door
(see "EMERGENCY OPENING" section). Open the cover of the
battery case and insert the batteries, being sure to line up the
polarities correctly.
NOTE: if the batteries are low (Voltage < 4 V) and the safe is
open, the door cannot be closed until the batteries have been
replaced, for operational reasons.
INSTALLING THE SAFE
To reduce the risk of theft from the safe, it can be secured to
the floor, to a wall or inside a cupboard. For your convenience,
there are holes (8 mm diameter) on the back and in the
bottom, so it can be fixed using anchor bolts.
CAUTION: the safe should be installed in a horizontal
position.
MAINTENANCE
Check the condition of the battery compartment on a regular
basis (every 6 months) to identify any possible signs of rust,
sulphation, etc.
Grease/oil any mechanical moving parts, such as locks and
bolts.
IMPORTANT
Recycling WEEE (waste electrical and electronic equipment)
is key as a safety measure in ensuring the health of people
and the environment. Always use specific collection centres
established for returning and managing used electrical
and electronic equipment. Before disposing of WEEE at a
collection centre, remove the batteries and dispose of them
separately so they may be managed correctly.
