2.0 GENERAL SAFETY RULES
2.1 DANGER AND INDICATOR SIGNALS
The signs described are reproduced on the machine (Fig. 2). Keep
them clean and replace them if they should come off or become
illegible. Carefully read each description and learn their meanings
by heart.
2.1.1 WARNING SIGNALS
1) Thoroughly read the instruction manual before proceeding with
the various operations.
2) Always stop the machine, rest it on the ground and consult the in-
struction manual before proceeding with any maintenance work.
2.1.2 DANGER SIGNALS
4) Danger. Sharp objects could be thrown up. Keep a safe distance
from the machine.
5) Danger. Risk of injury to the legs. Keep a safe distance from
the machine.
6) Danger of injury to the hands. Never remove the guards while the
parts are mowing. Wait until all moving components have
completely stopped.
7) Danger of dropping. Do not climb on to the machine.

8) Danger. Keep away from the cardan shaft. Keep away from the
mowing parts.
9) Danger of crushing during the opening phase. Keep at a due
distance from the machine.
10) Danger of crushing during the closing phase. Do not stand
between the two machine sections.
11) Pipes with high pressure fl uids. Take care if fl exible pipes break
as oil could spurt. Read the instruction manual.
13) Before engaging the pto, check that the rpm rate is that prescri-
bed. Never exchange the 540 rpm rate for 1000 rpm.
14) Danger of being crushed. Do not get between the tractor and
the machine.
2.1.3 INDICATOR SIGNALS
16) During the operations of working and maintenance, use the sui-
table personal protections:Overalls, Gloves, Shoes, Googles, Caps
17) Coupling point for lifting (indicating the maximun capacity).
18) Oil fi ll plug.
19) Oil drain plug.
20) Oil level plug.
21) Greasing point.
