Stop the pump:
To mak e pump life longer and s m ooth s t art-up, thes e
proc e dures to s h ut off pump s h ould be followed.
1.
Clos e the manifold v a lv e between the pump and the
s y s t
em.
2.
Remov e the hos e from the pump inlet.
Cov e r the inlet port opening to prev e nt any c o ntamination
or foreign partic l es from entering the port.
Checking the oil

NOTE: Add oil until the oil lev e l is between the upper
and lower lev e l lines of the s i ght glas s . The quantity of
oil is 300 ml.
NOTE: The oil lev e l is important. If it is not between the
upper and lower lev e l lines , it c a n c a us e malfunc t ion.
Replacing the oil

Operate the pump for 1 or 2 minutes to warm up the
oil.
2.
Turn the pump off.

c o ntaminants pulled into the pump.

Vacuum pump oil:
The c o ndition and ty p e of oil us e d in any high performanc e
v a c u um pump are ex t remely important in determining
the ultimate attainable v a c u um. It is rec o mmended to
us e the High Performanc e Vac u um Pump Oil, whic h is
specifically blended to maintain maximum viscosity at
normal temperatures and to improv e s t art up under c o ld
weather.
Cleaning the pump
1.
When the oil is ex t remely dirty, replac e the oil and
then operate the pump for 3 to 5 minutes .
2.
Drain the oil and add new oil.
If the drained oil is s t ill dirty, repeat this c l eaning
proc e s s two or three times .
