Before First Use
Clean Your Pump Parts: To prevent warping, do not place anything on top of pump parts
during sanitizing, washing, or drying. Do not assemble pump until parts are cool and dry.
TO SANITIZE PARTS ON THE STOVETOP:
Place disassembled pump parts in a pan of boiling water for 5 minutes. Stir frequently.
DO NOT allow parts to rest on bottom of pan as they may melt or become damaged.
TO SANITIZE PARTS IN THE MICROWAVE:
Use Evenflo Feeding Silicone Steam Sanitizing Bag according to instructions.
IMPORTANT
DO NOT CLEAN HANDLE IN MICROWAVE or with
sanitization bags as it will damage the handle and
the PUMP WILL NO LONGER WORK.
Before EVERY Use
• Wash your hands with soap and water before handling your pump.
• Ensure parts are clean and dry. Refer to cleaning instructions on page 8.
• Use care when handling the valve/membrane assembly to avoid damage.
• Visually inspect the individual components for cracks, chips, tears, or deterioration. In
the event that damage to the device is observed, please discontinue use until the dam-
aged parts have been replaced.

Note: Make sure the membrane is attached and is lying flat against the valve, or the
pump will lose suction and will not work properly. Also, make sure the membrane is
not torn, as this also will cause decreased suction and the pump to not work properly.
