Resistance measurements
• Position the rotary switch on the "Ω -
• Connect the black lead to the "COM" bushing.
• Connect the red lead to the "V - Ω - ºC/ºF" bushing.
• Take the measurement.
Notes: a) With disconnected leads, the display will indicate "1".
b) If the " 1 " message appears on the display, the value being measured is
greater than the maximum expected capacity.
The resistance measurement on a circuit shall be always taken
without energy. Do not connect the leads to voltage sources. This
may be dangerous and could permanently damage the instrument.
Maximum overload voltage: 230V AC.
Continuity test
• Position the rotary switch on: "Ω -
• Connect the black lead to the "COM" bushing.
• Connect the red lead to the "V - Ω - ºC/ºF" bushing.
If there is a continuity, the buzzer will beep.
N.B.: never connect the leads directly to a source of voltage.
Temperature measurements ºC/ºF
• Position the rotary switch on the "ºC/ºF".
• Press the push-button "ºC/ºF" to select the measurement mode "°C" or "°F".
• Connect the " – " pin of the sensor to the "COM" bushing.
• Connect the " + " pin of the sensor to the "V - Ω - ºC/ºF" bushing.
• Take the measurement.
Note: when the sensor is not inserted, the instrument will indicate the room tem-
perature.
