Thank you for the faith you have shown in us by choosing a REHOBOT
product. REHOBOT stands for products of high quality and it is our hope
that you will be able to use this product for many years.
To avoid functional disturbances, we recommend that you read these
instructions thoroughly before using the product.
Safety feature
The pump is equipped with a built in factory set safety valve that regu-
lates the output pressure.
NOTE! The safety valve must NOT be tampered with or be remover/
replaced. The safety valve must ONLY be adjusted by REHOBOT or a
workshop authorized by REHOBOT.
All rams, accessories, and tools that are connected to the pump must
be designed for a working pressure that is equal to or higher than the
maximum working pressure of the pump.
The oil filler cap has a built in air ventilation valve that prevents over- and
under pressurising the oil container (fig. 10 pos. B)
The electric motor has buit in thermal contact that shuts down the motor
at too high temperature.
All PME-models are equipped with:
Level glass plug for easy checking the oil level (fig. 10 pos. A)
MRV/S1H - Ball check valve for mantaining pressure even when pump
not activated.
Carrying handle that also protect the gauge.
Installation
Connecting the hydraulic hose
Connect the hydraulic hose using a G 1/4" coupling (Fig. 10, pos. C) or
use REHOBOT quick couplings.
The level glass plug (fig. 10 pos. A) can be exchanged for a suitable
G 1/4" coupling and be used as a oil return connection. Place the pump
in a position that puts the level glass plug at a higher level than the oil
before unscrewing it.
Bleeding the hydraulic system
When hoses or tools are connected to the pump they can introduce air into the
hydraulic system, which could lead to operating problems. Bleed the system
by running the tool or cylinder through 3–4 cycles (by pumping out until fully
extended, then releasing) with no load.
Make sure that the tool or cylinder is kept lower than the pump to allow the air
to flow back into the oil reservoir of the pump. It may be necessary to top up the
oil depending on the volume of air in the connected hoses or tool, see Filling
with oil.
Maintenance
Always check hoses and electrical cables for any damage. Never use a
damaged hose or electrical cable.
If necessary, lubricate moving parts with high-quality grease.
Wipe the pump clean after each use and before storage.
Service
For safety reasons it is important that all service and repair work is car-
ried out by trained personnel. If you are in the slightest doubt please
contact your dealer for information about the nearest authorised service
agent.
Filling with oil
Check the oil level before use. The easiest way to do this is to check
the level glass on the end of the pump, which shows the maximum oil
level. Always measure the oil level with the cylinder or tool in the lowest
or retracted position. To ensure efficient operation use hydraulic oil that
conforms to ISO VG 10.
Place the pump in horizontal position
Unscrew the oil filler plug (Fig. 10, item B).
Fill the oil reservoir through the filler hole until the oil
level reach the centre of the level glass plug (fig. 10 pos. A).
Screw the oil filler plug back into place.

Recycling
Hydraulic oil that is drained when servicing must be collected and
handled according to applicable environmental laws and regulations.
For more information about recycling of this product, please contact the
local authorities, your waste disposal service or your provider.
Pressure control
Adjustment of maximum pressure is done by turning the adjustment
screw (fig. 10 and fig. 11, pos. F)
To increase the pressure - turn clockwise.
To reduce the pressure - turn counterclockwise.
NOTE! To lower the desired working pressure, the pressure in the con-
nected tool must first be relesed by opening the pump release knob.
NOTE! The adjustmentscrew must NOT be unscrewed all the way untill
the packing is showing.
