15.2. Barrel adjustment
Depending on the variety of flowers, their physical characteristics differ and it is sometimes necessary to adjust the
distance of the barrel from the bed knives to improve the effectiveness of the trimming.
The barrels commercialized by MASTER PRODUCTS, whether of MT800 & MT800 MED , have a mechanized raceway
at each of their ends. In the following image, and represented in red, the four adjustable supports on which these
tracks rest are shown. These must be well guided to ensure proper operation of the equipment and avoid damage.
Each support consists of a nylon wheel and a cam. The can has different slots that allow the vertical adjustment of
the position of the barrel. See blow the simple steps to achieve it:
1. Identify the hexagonal screw, shown in red in the following image, and loosen it with the open-end spanner No.
13 without removing it.
2. Turn the cam and fit it into the groove that provides the desired height of the barrel. Finally fix the bolt with
spanner No. 13.
It is essential to adjust the brackets opposite each other equally in order to keep the
barrels level.
