INSTALLING THE DUKE 24V 180°
- Make sure that the pivot of foundation box is well greased.
- Lay down the ball (CVA1479)
- Insert drive rod CME5230 after fitting release system (pict. 7).
- Fit gate bracket plate CME6987 through its pivot in the drive rod (Pict. 8).
- Place gate leaf between upper hinge and plate of gate bracket (hinge and pivot of gate
bracket plate should be perfectly aligned).
- Weld carefully bracket plate on the leaf.
- Fit Duke operator inside foundation box (Pict. 12) by means of enclosed nuts M12
and washers on column side, while on opposite column side screw in "prolunghe"
CME5228 and relevant washers DRL12X24 (refer to exploded view at last page).
ATTENTION: DUKE motor must be always placed as in Pict. 12 (electric motor facing
right).
- Fit gearing plate by means of relevant nuts and washers M10.
- Insert bolt and nut for adjusting (A) (Pict. 12).
- Insert the driving gear CME5226 on the motor shaft after having fixed the adjusting
screw B as shown in Fig. 12. ATTENTION: the fine adjustment of the opening angle
is made by means of the adjustment screw B, but the maximum width of this opening
is determined by the position of insertion of the driving gear CME5226. The more you
want to open the gate leaf, the more you have to insert the drive gear CME5226 rotated
towards the stop 1 for mounting with the opening on the left or turned towards the stop
2 for mounting with the opening on the right.
ADJUSTMENT OF DUKE 24V 180° MECHANICAL STOPPER - Pict.12
To adjust the travel limits to the required positions, simply turn the relative screws A and B
left or right as appropriate, then secure the locks nuts to prevent the screws from slipping
out of position subsequently (Pict. 12).
To define the gate leaf stroke it is necessary to move the mechanical stops:
A = CLOSING STOPPER
Set it in such a way as to allow the release mechanism to be released and re-engaged.
B = OPENING STOPPER
CAUTION: Insert the driving gear CME5226 more or less close to the stopper 1 or 2 on
which the screw B will stop (stopper 2 for opening on the left and stopper 1
for opening on the right). Afterwards you can adjust the screw B to define the
opening stroke.
N.B.: in closing the leaves must stop against the stoppers inside
the box.
The leaves must not hit the gate closing stopper on the ground,
otherwise release the operator it will be much less comfortable.

EMERGENCY RELEASE
To be carried out after having disconnected the power supply to the motor.
In order to carry out the manual operation of the gate leaf the followings must be checked:
- That the gate is endowed with appropriate handles;
- That these appropriate handles are placed so to avoid safety risks for the operator;
- That the physical effort necessary to move the gate leaf should not be higher than 225
N, for doors/gates for private dwellings, and, 390N for doors/gates for commercial and
industrial sites ( values indicated in 5.4.5 of the EN 12453 norm) .
In the case of a power cut, the gate can be opened manually by releasing the lock on the
operating lever to allow the gate to move freely (Fig. 8).
