NOTE: Periodically inspect the entire product
for damaged, missing, or loose parts such as
screws, nuts, bolts, caps, etc. Tighten securely
all fasteners and caps and do not operate this
product until all missing or damaged parts are
replaced. Please contact customer service or

TOOL LUBRICATION
Your SKILSAW tool has been properly lubricat-
ed and is ready to use. It is recommended that
tools with gears be re-greased with a special
gear lubricant at every brush change .
CARBON BRUSHES
The brushes and commutator in your tool have
been engineered for many hours of depend-
able service. To maintain peak efficiency of the
motor, we recommend every two to six months
the brushes be examined and replaced if nec-
essary (refer to Brush Inspection/Replace-
ment in this manual).
Only genuine SKILSAW replacement brushes
specially designed for your tool should be
used.
BEARINGS
After about 300-400 hours of operation, or at
every second brush change, the bearings
should be replaced at a SKILSAW Factory Ser-
vice Center or Authorized SKILSAW Service
Station. Bearings that become noisy (due to

effectively with compressed dry air. Always wear
safety goggles when cleaning tools with com-

After each use disconnect the plug from the
power source and remove the wheel and wash-
ers to wipe deposits of dust from the housing
and wheel guards. The lower wheel guard
should be wiped occasionally with a clean cloth
and mild soap to prevent deterioration from oil
and grease. After cleaning, check the opera-
tion and condition of the lower wheel guard to
make certain it is functional for the next use .
Ventilation openings and switch levers must be
kept clean and free of foreign matter. Do not
