Electrocution hazard
• Do not operate the device if the device or any of its components are visibly damaged.
• If the power cable of this device is damaged, the power cable must be replaced by
the manufacturer, a service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to prevent
safety hazards.
• This device may only be repaired by qualified personnel. Improper repairs can lead
to considerable hazards.
• The power cable of this device is equipped with a three-pin plug. Do not remove the
earthed pin under any circumstances. Plug the device into sockets that ensure proper
connection, as the device needs to be earthed.
Fire hazard
• The refrigerant in the refrigerant circuit is highly flammable and in the event of a leak-
age combustible gases could build up if the device is in a small room.
In the event of any damage to the refrigerant circuit:
– Keep naked flames and potential ignition sources away from the device.
– Ventilate the room well.
– Switch off the device.
• The refrigeration circuit contains a small quantity of an environmentally friendly but
flammable refrigerant. It does not damage the ozone layer and does not increase the
greenhouse effect. Any leaking refrigerant may ignite.
• Leaking refrigerant can form a flammable gas-air mixture. Do not use or store the
device in confined spaces with none or minimal air flow.
• Do not use or store flammable materials in or near this device.
• Keep ventilation openings, in the device and the device enclosure free of obstruc-
tion.
• Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the defrosting process,
other than those recommended by the manufacturer.
• Do not open or damage the refrigerant circuit under any circumstances.
• Do not use electrical devices inside the device unless they are recommended by the
manufacturer for that purpose.
